• GMPS prepares students in Nursery through 10th for the diverse, changing world around us through rich learning experiences guided by dedicated educators. GMPS provides a forward-thinking education that emphasizes leadership, athletics, experiential learning, public service, and strong academics. Our students go forward secure in who they are and in the skills they have mastered, able to navigate confidently to college and beyond.

The counselors are part of the school’s admissions team, responsible for coordinating/administering and interpreting assessments of children entering nursery through 5th grade. They also work with admissions to set half-day visits with student guides for prospective students.

Begin your application online. Please call the Admissions Office to be granted access to the online application. You may also further visit our Admission office for enrollment kit.

The counselors work with the students in goal setting/decision-making and help them develop self-knowledge through understanding of learning styles, strengths and weaknesses. Students are taught to self-advocate with their teachers based on understanding of what they need for academic success.

The counselors respond to needs of individual students as well as small groups or classes based on requests from the students themselves or from teachers, parents, and/or administrators. Sessions with students may center around interpersonal stressors or academics. When needed, the counselors also provide assistance with referrals to outside agencies and coordinate communication among home, school and outside support personnel.
